James was born October 1984 in Gloucestershire and has been taking photos most of his life. The enthusiasm though, didn't actually develop until about 5 years ago. After taking an A-Level in Film and Video, he found himself drawn towards the still image rather than the moving. James then gained a BTEC Foundation in Art and Design which is where he learnt the basics, before moving to Cornwall to take an HND in Photography and Digital Imaging at Truro College.
Now James is moving into Portrait Documentary, taking photos of people in an environment they feel comfortable with. So the background aids in telling the story of who they are and helps give it a less posed feel.
